A Christmas To Remember For Everyone In This World

A Christmas To Remember For Everyone in This World Scripture Referrences: Luke 1-2:20; Matthew 2:1-16
Have you ever stop to think what Christmas is and why is is remembered?
Perhaps if we were to really stop and think about it we would really
come with the actual source of the origin of Christmas. The idea of Santa Claus was introduced more than 500 years ago and certainly thousands of years after the the real origin of Christmas that began in Bethlehem and with the birth of a child in a lowly manger. It's about a child who would redeem the world and offer mankind a gift like no other gift ever offered or could ever be offered by any other person on the face of this planet. It was a showing of a love that was unconditional
not only by the child that was born but of the Father who had loved all
his children so much that he willing made his son the sacrificial lamb.

It all began in a place called Nazareth, where a very special young
lady lived with her parents. She was betrothed to a man named Joseph, who
was a simple carpenter and looking forward to her marriage. Though unsure
of herself as being the perfect wife she still looked forward to her soon
to be husband and her new life. One night as she pondered her up coming
marriage and said her prayers, the angel, Gabriel, was sent to her.
Gabriel told her she was highly favored by God and she was blessed
among all women. But this young woman, whose name was Mary, was pure and a virgin free of all sin. She was troubled by what she heard from
Gabriel, because of the salutation. She thought, "what manner of greeting is
this?" Gabriel said," Fear not Mary, for you have found favor with God
and you shall conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son and you shall
call his name Jesus. He shall be great and shall be called the "son of
the Highest and the Lord God will give unto him the throne of his
father, David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and
of his kingdom there shall be no end." Mary was completely baffled. She
said, "How can this be, seeing that I know no man?" Gabriel answered
and said to her, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon you and the power of the
Highest will overshadow you; therefore also that holy thing which shall
be born of you shall be called the 'Son of God'."

Mary was also told by the angel Gabriel that her cousin, Elizabeth, had
also conceived a son and she was in her sixth month. Elizabeth was old
in age and was barren, yet God had also blessed her and her husband,
Zacharias with a child that was soon to be born. "For with God nothing
shall be impossible." (Luke 1:37) Mary went to visit her cousin in
Juda.
When she heard Elizabeth say that she was blessed among women Mary
replied, "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in
God my savior. For He has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden:
for, behold from henchforth all generations shall call me blessed."

Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months, and returned to her own
house. When she returned to Nazareth she confronted her espoused,
Joseph about what the Lord had done and how he sent Gabriel to tell her the
news that she would be carrying the "Son of God". Joseph didn't believe
her and thought to "put her away" until later that night and angel of
God appeared to him in a dream and told him that Mary had spoken the
truth. The angel also told him that he was to take Mary as his wife
without fear: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost .
She will bring forth a son, and you will call his name JESUS: for he
shall save his people from their sins. So Joseph got up and went
immediately to Mary and told her what the angel said.

Now it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from
Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (This taxing was
first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) All went to be taxed,
every one into his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of
the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is
called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)to
be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. So it
was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should
be delivered. (The time of the child's birth had come)

Joseph tried desperately to find a place for his wife and soon-to-be
child but every where they went there was not room. He begged the
innkeeper to let his wife in because of her circumstances but he said,
"there's no room at the Inn" and slammed the door shut. Joesph was
persistant and the innkeeper was growing weary of him finally told him
of a place he could use on the hillside where he kept his flock that he
could use. It was a stable; but to Joesph it was a warm place and a
safe place to deliver the Son of God into the world; lowly as it was. Soon
Mary brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling
clothes, and laid him in a manger.

Meanwhile, while this was occurring there were in the same country
shepherds sitting in the field, keeping watch over their flock by
light.
The angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone
all around them and they were very afraid. The angel said unto them,
"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which
shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of
David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign
unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a
manger." Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly
host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace, good will toward men !

When the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds
said one to another, "Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing
which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us." They
came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a
manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying
which was told them concerning this child. All they that heard it
wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But
Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds
returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had
heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod he
king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying,
Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in
the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard
these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he
had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together,
he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto
him,
In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou
Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of
Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people
Israel.

Then Herod, when he had privately called the wise men, enquired of them
diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem,
and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye
have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which
they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over
where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with
exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw
the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped
him:and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him
gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. And being warned of God in a dream
that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own
country another way. And when they were departed, behold, the angel of
the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the
young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there
until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and
departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Out of Egypt have I called my son.

This is the Christmas to remember for everyone to keep it in one's own heart and when the next year comes just tell it to all that comes your way that don't even know him in their own life, often times they don't have that deep relationship with him so just share with them that this is what it truly stands for in the world today. This is really what Christmas is all about. The giving and receiving of gifts when done in the true meaning and understanding of Christmas would reminds us that God gave us a gift that we could use forever and in accepting that gift we are given redemption and the promise of eternal life. It is a gift that was very symbolic of what real and unconditional love is all about. The only gift.He wants in return is to save you from sin and keep you from the gates of Hell forever. So from now one when Christmas time rolls around in your house remember that this is the real Christmas that should be
remembered and keep this in your hearts and Celebrate Jesus not how
many gifts you are going to get or Santa Claus. Christmas is about the Birth
of Jesus....nothing more ....nothing less ....quote the angels in what they said as Jesus was being born that nigh and in the heavens above. Then sing the songs to each other during this season and let it fill your hearts and then other's with join in with you that hears it from afar and then comes near you as everyone rejoices in what the true meaning of christmas is all about in the world.

Merry Christmas To You and your and the entire Family this christmas season!

O Holy Night

Oh holy night!
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend.
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.

Thank You for stopping in this site, group Sites, web sites and other prayer sites as well in holding one another up for prayer's being totally united in everyone around this world, it's about Jesus Christ first and prayers, intecessory prayer's and at other times about this vast world we live in today which this old world as we all know it is slowly departing to be reaching our home in glory.

My Home Is In Heaven spiritually/ and here in the living

As for Myself I stand and truly believe in All allegiance to Our Holy Bible in which those Whole Truths is the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God of which is the Living and breathing God in whom I dearly Love and respect in All of My obedience unto Him in my life today. In His word that states to me is He is always there as My lamp which is depicted in our life in His abundance with His divine Holy presence and takes me unto Him in, Him leading me to Him in a very deep personal relationship so I may follow His leadings for He is the light of this world and unto All of His children . So, in this dark dank cold world in which some of the people whom absolutley defies Him as their God, as they detest him in His Word of truth and His [Only Son] Jesus Christ as their beliefs as they share those horrible thoughts and sayings as never before unto the whole human race. They defile themselves to every single cornors of this earth in thinking that He will Never come unto them. Boy! Do they have it all wrong! They are in complete contempt of Him and are in great err in all of those lives not only in today but in the past as well of this nation. They stand behind falseness of all of those very secret societies, Nights Templers,Jesuits, Jehovah Witnesses, ,Knights of Malta,New World Order, Satanism, NewAge,Illuminati,Masons,Taoism,Jainism, religions, cults,Hinduism,Islam,Baha'i,Zoroastrianism,Buddhism,Shinto,Sikhism, In alot of those beliefs in there own brand of Religious tolerance does not require you:To accept all religions as equally true.Religious freedom means that you can: Without oppression, believe, worship and witness (or practice freedom from belief, worship and witness), as you wish; change your beliefs or religion; and associate with others to express your beliefs. To promote religious tolerance and freedom; to objectively describe religious faiths in all their diversity; and to objectively describe controversial topics from all points of view." What a bunch of garbage ! They defiled God in His Word! That also goes in those groups of people in the homosexual/gay lifestyles / which now argue about Gods people in civil hate crimes these days, as well in which are in alot of those groups which is mentioned! After all it's their lifestyle and behaviors that God condemneds not them as a people, which utterly deviates the Will of God.And for those folk's in this country of ours whom think that they don't like this country saying like "One Nation Under God" then they ought to leave our country on the very same boat, plane that they came here on. They can go back to what brought them over here in the first place in living in conditions of a " Dictatorship and be very happy with it. After all we didn't invite them over here ..they came here on there own accord, and they expect us Americans to live up to those kinds of standards" I don't think so" We are a free country and this nation has fought for us and to keep it for generations after generations to uphold this nation as God has been directed in our forefather had put it inexistence of the constitution of the United States of America. Those people need to do as us whom has grown here and to leave those pack of lies back in their homeland and stand -up for our principles of God in our freedom of which we have today. Besides a long time ago this country ruled over the Indian's nation to where they had No rights and had taken away their beliefs but yet they had became friends with them and sold them out. They as I recall are still fighting back what orginally belongs to them. I don't want to do as some of those wish to do to others at all because God said so!I want to treat all other's as God would have us do in His Word of all truths that's in our own individual life as in living and breathing human beings. I know that I most likey didn't say things very good here but it's how I've felt inside of one self and I've never ever thought of it as being right to those ways that has been laid out in our school books in all generations and the ways of goverment officals have degraded people whether here in this country or abroad. Millions of people has lost lives because of it but this nation carried on under our God in our Prayers so why can't they that have been transported to United States Of America. If they can't handle it then be my guest and Go Back Home ! I first love Jesus Christ and it will always stand that way for my life and countless of others as well. Stop trying to sneak in this country in thinking your gonna change the way WE BELIEVE AND HOW WE BELIEVE because it just won'twork in turningIsre away from Jesus Christ at ALL !!!!! Isreal is our distant homeland and stop quivering about it and leave it alone once and for all ! That's God Apple of His own EYES ! He'll show each of You in not so distant future!

Can I see my baby?

Can I see my baby? The happy new mother asked. When the bundle was nestled in her arms and she moved the fold of cloth to look upon his tiny face, she gasped. The doctor turned quickly and looked out the tall hospital window. The baby had been born without ears.Time proved the babys hearing was perfect. It was only his appearance that was marred. When he rushed home from school one day and flung himself into his mothers arms, she sighed, knowing that his life was to be a succession of heartbreaks. He blurted out the tragedy. A boy, a big boy called me a freak. He grew up, handsome for his misfortune. A favorite with his fellow students, he might have been class president, but for that. He developed a gift, a talent for literature and music. But you might mingle with other young people, his mother reproved him, but felt a kindness in her heart. The boys father had a session with the family physician. Could nothing be done? I believe I could graft on a pair of outer ears, if they could be procured, the doctor decided.Whereupon the search began for a person who would make such a sacrifice for a young man. Two years went by.Then, You are going to the hospital, Son. Mother and I have someone who will donate the ears you need. But its a secret, said the father. The operation was a brilliant success, and a new person emerged. His talents blossomed into genius, and school and college became a series of triumphs.Later he married and entered the diplomatic service. But I must know! He urged his father, Who gave so much for me? I could never do enough for him. I do not believe you could, said the father, but the agreement was that you are not to know not yet.The years kept their profound secret, but the day did come one of the darkest days that a son must endure. He stood with his father over his mothers casket.Slowly, tenderly, the father stretched forth a hand and raised the thick, reddish-brown hair to reveal that the mother had no outer ears. Mother said she was glad she never let her hair be cut, he whispered gently, and nobody ever thought Mother less beautiful, did they? Real beauty lies not in the physical appearance, but in the heart. Real treasure lies not in what that can be seen, but what that cannot be seen.Real love lies not in what is done and known, but in what that is done but not known. Author Unknown To Me

All about Christmas
Merry Christmas
On what date was Jesus born?

There are three basic references to the year and the month of the birth of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, the apostles tell of the Magi following the star from the east, and the shepherds with their flock out in the fields. The third reference comes from the dating of the founding of Rome.

The Magi
The Magi were astrologers and probably came from Persia or southern Arabia. They are believed to be linked with the priesthood of Zoroastrianism, who practised astrology. The 5th Century BC historian Herodotus attested to the astrological prowess of the priests of Persia. (The Bible does not give the number of magi that visited Jesus. The number of three was derived from the three (types of) gifts they presented.) Which star did the Magi follow?

In ancient astrology, the giant planet Jupiter was styled as the King's Planet, representing the highest god and ruler of the universe: Marduk to the Babylonians; Zeus to the Greeks; Jupiter to the Romans. The ringed planet Saturn was deemed the shield of Palestine, while the constellation of Pisces, which was also associated with Syria and Palestine, represented epochal events. Jupiter encountering Saturn in Pisces would have meant that a divine and cosmic ruler was to appear in Palestine.

The astronomer Kepler noted in the early 17th century that every 805 years, Jupiter and Saturn come into conjunction, with Mars joining the configuration a year later. Since Kepler, astronomers have computed that for ten months in 7BC, Jupiter and Saturn travelled very close to each other in the night sky, and in May, September, and December of that year, they were conjoined. Mars joined the configuration in February of 6BC.

The Chinese had more exact and more complete astronomical records than the astrologers of the Middle East, particularly in their tabulations of comets and novae. In 1871, astronomer John Williams published an authoritative list of comets derived from Chinese annuals. Over March and April 5BC, Comet No. 52 on the Williams list appeared for some 70 days near the constellation Capricorn, and would have been visible in both the Far and Middle East. As each night wore on, the comet would seem to have moved westward across the southern sky. This could have been the Magi's astral marker. Comet No. 53 on the Williams list is a tailless comet - which could have been a nova - that appeared over March and April in 4BC in constellation Aquila, which was also visible all over the East.

The star that the Magi followed - the Star of Bethlehem - could be any of the astral markers that appeared in 6, 5 and 4BC.

The shepherds
Luke 2: 8: "And there were shepherds living out in the fields near by, keeping watch over their flocks at night."

In Palestine - as in the rest of the Middle East at the time - shepherds stayed with their flocks in the fields only from Spring to Autumn. They brought their sheep in during the winter to protect them from the cold and rain. It is thus unlikely that the shepherds went to Bethlehem in December.

The Bible does not mention the celebration of Christ's birthday, and the early Christians seem not to have celebrated His birthday. However, to avoid persecution, they would hang holly on their doors during December just as the Roman pagans did for Saturnalia, their feasts honouring their god of harvest. Likewise, in September, during the Jewish Feast of Trumpets (modern-day Rosh Hashanah), they would borrow some of the custom to protect themselves, carrying on with their own customs behind closed doors. This added to the speculation that early Christians celebrated the birth of Christ in September. It is noted that Jerusalem swelled from about 100,000 people to over 1 million during the Feast of the Trumpets, which meant that there would have been little room at the inns of Jerusalem and the surrounding towns.

The dating of the founding of Rome
In the 6th Century, the Roman monk-mathematician-astronomer named Dionysis Exeguus (Dionysis the Little) reformed the calendar to pivot around the birth of Christ. He dated the Nativity 753 years from the founding of Rome, calculated to the date King Herod died. But Dionysis miscalculated, because Herod died only 749 years after the founding of Rome, thus 4BC.

Herod, who ordered all the babies in Bethlehem younger than 2 years killed, was, of course, alive when the Magi visited the baby Jesus. So we know that Jesus was born in or before 4BC, as astronomers point out when referring to the Star of Bethlehem.

Early Christian appear not to have celebrated the birth of Christ. In fact, Christmas became widely popular only in the 19th Century.

Christmas today
The reference to the birth of Jesus "two thousand years ago" is wrong in two ways: a. there was no year 0, thus we have had only 1998 years since Dionysis (incorrectly) calculated the year of the Nativity. b. Dionysis's calculation was off by at least 5 years, as mentioned above.

In the year 274AD, solstice fell on 25th December, and Roman Emperor Aurelian proclaimed the date as "Natalis Solis Invicti," the festival of the birth of the invincible sun. In 320 AD, Pope Julius I specified the 25th of December as the official date of the birth of Jesus Christ. In 325AD, Constantine the Great, the first Christian Roman emperor, introduced Christmas as an immovable feast on 25 December. In 354AD, Bishop Liberius of Rome officially ordered his members to celebrate the birth of Jesus on 25 December.

In some parts of the Roman Empire (mostly the Eastern parts), solstice was celebrated on 6 January, the last festival day for those who started solstice on 25 December. (Saturnalia was held over 12 days.) The Orthodox Churches of Eastern Europe celebrate Christmas on 6 January.

Merry Christmas!
The most likely year that Jesus was born, is 6BC, probably in the month of March. There was no year 0 (zero) recorded, so the 2nd millennium celebration of the birth of Jesus should have been held in March 1995. But considering that Nativity was not celebrated at all for the first 300-or-so years, and that Christmas became widely popular only in the 19th Century, it remains remarkable that the birthday of Jesus Christ today is one of the biggest industries in the world. A rather apt acknowledgement.

Revelation 4:1-11

Revelation 4:1-11 1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

After the Lord Jesus had instructed the apostle to write to the churches to the things that are, to there was another vision. The apostle saw a throne set in heaven, an emblem of the universal dominion of Jehovah. He saw a glorious One upon the throne, not described by human features, so as to be represented by a likeness or image, but only by his surpassing brightness. These seem emblems of the excellence of the Divine nature, and of God's awful justice. The rainbow is a fit emblem

of that covenant of promise which God has made with Christ, as the Head of the church, and with all his people in him. The prevailing colour was a pleasant green, showing the reviving and refreshing nature of the new covenant. Four-and-twenty seats around the throne, were filled with four-and-twenty elders, representing, probably, the whole church of God. Their sitting denotes honour, rest, and satisfaction; their sitting about the throne signifies nearness to God, the sight and enjoyment they have of him. They were clothed in white raiment; the imputed righteousness of the saints and their holiness: they had on their heads crowns of gold, signifying the glory they have with him. Lightnings and voices came from the throne; the awful declarations God makes to his church, of his sovereign will and pleasure. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne; the gifts, graces, and operations of the Spirit of God in the churches of Christ, dispensed according to the will and pleasure of Him who sits upon the throne. In the gospel church, the laver for purification is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, which cleanses from all sin. In this all must be washed, to be admitted into the gracious presence of God on earth, and his glorious presence in heaven. The apostle saw four living creatures, between the throne and the circle of the elders, standing between God and the people. These seem to signify the true ministers of the gospel, because of their place between God and the people. This also is shown by the description given, denoting wisdom, courage, diligence, and discretion, and the affections by which they mount up toward heaven. (Rev 4:9-11)

Lord of All Being

Lord of all being, throned afar,
Thy glory flames from sun and star;
Center and soul of every sphere,
Yet to each loving heart how near!

Sun of our life, Thy quickening ray,
Sheds on our path the glow of day;
Star of our hope, Thy softened light
Cheers the long watches of the night.

Our midnight is Thy smile withdrawn;
Our noontide is Thy gracious dawn;
Our rainbow arch, Thy mercy's sign;
All, save the clouds of sin, are Thine.

Lord of all life, below, above,
Whose light is truth, Whose warmth is love,
Before Thy ever blazing throne
We ask no luster of our own.

Grant us Thy truth to make us free,
And kindling hearts that burn for Thee,
Till all Thy living altars claim
One holy light, one heavenly flame.

Holy, holy, holy--The "tris-hagion" of the Greek liturgies. In Isa 6:3 , as here, it occurs; also Psa 99:3, 5, 9 , where He is praised as "holy," (1) on account of His majesty ( Rev 4:1) about to display itself; (2) His justice ( Rev 4:4 ) already displaying itself; (3) His mercy ( Rev 4:6-8 ) which displayed itself in times past. So here "Holy," as He "who was"; "Holy," as He "who is": "Holy," as He "who is to come." He showed Himself an object of holy worship in the past creation of all things: more fully He shows Himself so in governing all things: He will, in the highest degree, show Himself so in the consummation of all things. "Of (from) Him, through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." In Isa 6:3 there is added, "the whole EARTH is full of His glory." What a Joyful time that will be when we get to be finally Home with Our God in one's Jubliee, dancing, worship with all that whom is in the New Jerusalem ! Hallelujah ! Blessed Be the Lamb of God ! catcmo2006

Revelation 3b /Confession/Prayer

Revelation 3b/Confession

14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Laodicea was the last and worst of the seven churches of Asia. Here our Lord Jesus styles himself, to The Amen; to one steady and unchangeable in all his purposes and promises. If religion is worth anything, it is worth every thing. Christ expects men should be in earnest. How many professors of gospel doctrine are neither hot nor cold; except as they are indifferent in needful matters, and hot and fiery in disputes about things of lesser moment! A severe punishment is threatened.

They would give a false opinion of Christianity, as if it were an unholy religion; while others would conclude it could afford no real satisfaction, otherwise its professors would not have been heartless in it, or so ready to seek pleasure or happiness from the world. One cause of this indifference and inconsistency in religion is, self-conceit and self-delusion; to Because thou sayest. to What a difference between their thoughts of themselves, and the thoughts Christ had of them! How careful

should we be not to cheat our owns souls! There are many in hell, who once thought themselves far in the way to heaven. Let us beg of God that we may not be left to flatter and deceive ourselves. Professors grow proud, as they become carnal and formal. Their state was wretched in itself. They were poor; really poor, when they said and thought they were rich. They could not see their state, nor their way, nor their danger, yet they thought they saw it. They had not the garment of justification,

nor sanctification: they were exposed to sin and shame; their rags that would defile them. They were naked, without house or harbour, for they were without God, in whom alone the soul of man can find rest and safety. Good counsel was given by Christ to this sinful people. Happy those who take his counsel, for all others must perish in their sins. Christ lets them know where they might have true riches, and how they might have them. Some things must be parted with, but nothing valuable; and it is only to make room for receiving true riches. Part with sin and self-confidence, that you may be filled with his hidden treasure. They must receive from Christ the white raiment he purchased and provided for them; his own imputed righteousness for justification, and the garments of holiness and sanctification. Let them give themselves up to his word and Spirit, and their eyes shall be opened to see their way and their end. Let us examine ourselves by the rule of his word, and pray earnestly

for the teaching of his Holy Spirit, to take away our pride, prejudices, and worldly lusts. Sinners ought to take the rebukes of God's word and rod, as tokens of his love to their souls. Christ stood without; knocking, by the dealings of his providence, the warnings and teaching of his word, and the influences of his Spirit. Christ still graciously, by his word and Spirit, comes to the door of the hearts of sinners. Those who open to him shall enjoy his presence. If what he finds would make but a poor feast, what he brings will supply a rich one. He will give fresh supplies of graces and comforts. In the conclusion is a promise to the overcoming believer. Christ himself had temptations and conflicts; he overcame them all, and was more than a conqueror. Those made like to Christ in his trials, shall be made like to him in glory. All is closed with the general demand of attention. And these counsels, while suited to the churches to which they were addressed, are deeply interesting to all men

Now to the Lord, Who Makes Us Know

Now to the Lord, that makes us know
The wonders of His dying love,
Be humble honors paid below,
And strains of nobler praise above.

'Twas He that cleansed our foulest sins,
And washed us in His richest blood;
'Tis He that makes us priests and kings,
And brings us rebels near to God.

To Jesus, our atoning Priest,
To Jesus, our superior King,
Be everlasting power confessed,
And every tongue His glory sing.

Behold, on flying clouds He comes,
And every eye shall see Him move;
Though with our sins we pierced Him once,
Then He displays His pard'ning love.

The unbelieving world shall wail,
While we rejoice to see the day:
Come, Lord; nor let Thy promise fail,
Nor let Thy chariots long delay.

May we be rooted deep in love and founded securely’ on love, that we may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints the experience of that love, what is the breadth and length and height and depth of it; that we may really come to know practically, through experience for ourselves, the love of Christ which far surpasses mere knowledge without experience; that I we be filled through all our being unto all the fullness of God, that we may have the richest measure of Your divine presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself! Now to You, who by the power that is at work within us, are able to carry out Your purpose and do super-abundantly far over and above all we dare ask or think infinitely beyond Our highest prayers, thoughts, hopes or dreams - to You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever. Revelation 3/ Prayer

Revelation 3

1And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

2Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

3Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

4Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

5He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Lord Jesus is He that hath the Holy Spirit with all his powers, graces, and operations. Hypocrisy, and lamentable decay in religion, are sins charged upon Sardis, by One who knew that church well, and all her works. Outward things appeared well to men, but there was only the form of godliness, not the power; a name to live, not a principle of life. There was great deadness in their souls, and in their services; numbers were wholly hypocrites, others were in a disordered and

lifeless state. Our Lord called upon them to be watchful against their enemies, and to be active and earnest in their duties; and to endeavour, in dependence on the grace of the Holy Spirit, to revive and strengthen the faith and spiritual affections of those yet alive to God, though in a declining state. Whenever we are off our watch, we lose ground. Thy works are hollow and empty; prayers are not filled up with holy desires, alms-deeds not filled up with true charity, sabbaths not filled up

with suitable devotion of soul to God. There are not inward affections suitable to outward acts and expressions; when the spirit is wanting, the form cannot long remain. In seeking a revival in our own souls, or the souls of others, it is needful to compare what we profess with the manner in which we go on, that we may be humbled and quickened to hold fast that which remains. Christ enforces his counsel with a dreadful threatening if it should be despised. Yet our blessed Lord does not leave

this sinful people without some encouragement. He makes honourable mention of the faithful remnant in Sardis, he makes a gracious promise to them. He that overcometh shall be clothed in white raiment; the purity of grace shall be rewarded with the perfect purity of glory. Christ has his book of life, a register of all who shall inherit eternal life; the book of remembrance of all who live to God, and keep up the life and power of godliness in evil times. Christ will bring forward this book of

life, and show the names of the faithful, before God, and all the angels, at the great day. (Rev 3:7-13)

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You totally, spirit, soul, and body. I ask that You bend, break, and mold me into the person that You want me to be. Lord, teach me to trust in You and to live and walk by faith in You and Your Word. I commit to You, Lord, to take accountability and responsibility in my walk with You and Your Word. No more will the enemy’s devices and the deceptions of the old man easily sway me. I purpose to firmly fix my eyes and heart on You, Lord, totally today. I press, push and apprehend all that you have for me today, keeping in the back of my remembrance that the enemy loves a lazy or slothful mind. satan, I come against you and all hosts of hell and I reject everything that you would have for me today. satan, I refuse all snares, pits, and traps that you have set to draw me away from my Lord Jesus Christ. I rebuke you, satan, and all your hosts in the name of Jesus from every assignment you have assigned against me or my family, my property, my health and my finances. Father I ask and believe for Your best in my life today and that Your will and purposes be done in and through me. I also ask that You keep me in Your perfect will and make me a yielded vessel fit for Your work today. I place myself under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust", for I chose to dwell in the secret place of the Most High. In Jesus Name, amen. catcmo2006

Revelations 1

8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

9I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

10I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

19Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

20The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

The Vision:
There can be no true peace, where there is not true grace; and where grace goeth before, peace will follow. This blessing is in the name of God, of the Holy Trinity, it is an act of adoration. The Father is first named; he is described as the Jehovah who is, and who was, and who is to come, eternal, unchangeable. The Holy Spirit is called the seven spirits, the perfect Spirit of God, in whom there is a diversity of gifts and operations. The Lord Jesus Christ was from eternity, a Witness to all the counsels of God. He is the First-born from the dead, who will by his own power raise up his people. He is the Prince of the kings of the earth; by him their counsels are overruled, and to him they are accountable. Sin leaves a stain of guilt and pollution upon the soul. Nothing can fetch out this stain but the blood of Christ; and Christ shed his own blood to satisfy Divine justice, and purchase pardon and purity for his people. Christ has made believers kings and priests to God and his Father. As such they overcome the world, mortify sin, govern their own spirits, resist Satan, prevail with God in prayer, and shall judge the world. He has made them priests, given them access to God, enabled them to offer spiritual and acceptable sacrifices, and for these favours they are bound to ascribe to him dominion and glory for ever. He will judge the world. Attention is called to that great day when all will see the wisdom and happiness of the friends of Christ, and the madness and misery of his enemies. Let us think frequently upon the second coming of Christ. He shall come, to the terror of those who wound and crucify him by apostacy: he shall come, to the astonishment of the whole world of the ungodly. He is the Beginning and the End; all things are from him and for him; he is the Almighty; the same eternal and unchanged One. And if we would be numbered with his saints in glory everlasting, we must now willing submit to him receive him, and honour him as a saviour, who we believe will come to be our Judge. Alas, that there should be many, who would wish never to die, and that there should not be a day of judgment! (Rev 1:9-11)

I Am A Livng Stone : Dear Precious Heavenly Father, You are the Alpha & Omega to those of us whom know you by your Holy Ghost Spirit that shines down inside of us as we believe in You For Your Word is of You . Father, We have come before You to share some things to You that's inside of our hearts as we bow before you precious Lord Jesus Christ this day in bowing before you with our hearts opened wide to come deepy of which is truths as You already know them today. We have put away all malice, and guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and slanders, as a newborn baby, We desire to grow more into maturity because of wanting more of You for we surely have tasted and know just how good you are in our lives. We are coming to you whom is our living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and so very precious. We also am a living stone, that's being built into a spiritual house, a holy preiesthood, to offer up our own spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to You God, through Your son Jesus Christ. As it states in our Holy Scriptures,

" Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on Him shall not be confounded" Unto you therefore which believe [he is] precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.( 1 Peter 2:6,7,8) But we belong to a very chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, one of God's own people; that we should proclaim the praises of Him whom has called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. In past times I was not a "people". In past times I had not obtained mercy bit now I obtained mercy. I am but a stranger and pilgrim in this world, therefore I abstain from all fleshly lust, which wars against my own soul. I live like a re-semblance of Jesus Christ in my own life, in living life totally around those whom don't truly believe in You Father God, Your only Son Jesus Christ as many people do whom are your remnants watching and waiting to come in which is truly in your own time . So those whom truly speak against us as evil doers, they see our good works and we will glorify our God daily as we wait for your return. We submit our self unto you and every human authority for our Lord's sake: whether it be the king supreme, or to governors, for they are sent by You God for the punishment of all evil doers, and for the praise of them that do well before you. For so it is God's will, that by doing right I may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men. We live as a free person but I do not use my own liberty for a cloak of evil, but as a servant of God. I honor all men, I love the fellowship of our brothers and sister. I fear God. I honor goverment leaders. I am subject to my employers with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also the over-bearing. For what glory is it, if, when I am punished for my faults, I take it patiently? If I do what is right, and suffer for it and take it patiently; this is acceptable unto our God. For this I was called, because Jesus Christ suffered for me. He left me an example, that I should follow His steps. He did No sin, neither No guile found in His mouth. Yet, when He suffered, He did Not threatened, but committed Himself to the Father who judges righteously. Who in His own self bore my sins in His own body on the tree, that I being dead to sins, should live a righteous life. By His stripes I am healed ( Isa. 53:5). For I was like a sheep that had gone astray; but now I have returned to the Shepard and Overseer of my soul. For only Jesus Christ Now we have hope for our present and our future. Love one another from our hearts fevently: having been born again, not with a corruptible seed but of being born again, not of incorruptible seed, theough the Word of God, which lives and always remains forever ( 1 Peter1:22,23). Amen.

Revelations

Revelations : Author: The Apostle Date Written : Between A.D. 90 and 96 TITLE: This book is so named because it is : Revelation" of Jesus Christ is given to the " Apostle John. It is called the " Apocalypse" which means " Revelation " or "Unveiling". Bacground : Apostle John is exiled by the Roman goverment to Patmos, a small island off the coast of greece, for preaching the Word of God. His exile is only part of the entense period of persecution against the church, which follows the Roman emperor Domitian's proclamation that he be worshiped as a deity. While on Patmos, John receives about Jesus Christ from God the Father. An angle helps John to understand the vision. Whereas the first book of the Bible - Gensis - tells of the first beginning of sin and satan's truimph the last of the book of the Bible - the Revelation - tells of sin's and satan's defeat. A special blessing is promised to all who read, hear and obey this book. But also a special curse is promised to those whom add or take away from these words, John also wrote the 4th. Gospel and the 3 epistles which bears his name. Where Written: On the Island of Patmose, the Aregean Sea. To Whom : 7 churches in Asia Minor ( Modern Turkey)

Revelation 1

  1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:
  2. Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
  3. Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand.
  4. John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
  5. And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
  6. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
  7. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

This book is the Revelation of Jesus Christ; the whole Bible is so; for all revelation comes through Christ, and all relates to him. Its principal subject is to discover the purposes of God concerning the affairs of the church, and of the nations as connected therewith, to the end of the world. These events would surely come to pass; and they would begin to come to pass very shortly. Though Christ is himself God, and has light and life in himself, yet, as Mediator between God and man, he receives instructions from the Father. To him we owe the knowledge of what we are to expect from God, and what he expects from us. The subject of this revelation was, the things that must shortly come to pass. On all who read or hear the words of the prophecy, a blessing is pronounced. Those are well employed who search the Bible. It is not enough that we read and hear, but we must keep the things that are written, in our memories, in our minds, in our affections, and in practice, and we shall be blessed in the deed. Even the mysteries and difficulties of this book are united with discoveries of God, suited to impress the mind with awe, and to purify the soul of the reader, though he may not discern the prophetic meaning. No part of Scripture more fully states the gospel, and warns against the evil of sin.

    Prayer: Dear Precious Heavenly Father;

Our God Is With Us

The Lord is in the midst of thee.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; He will come and save you. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.
I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.

Zeph. 3:15. Isa. 41:10. Isa. 35:3,4. Zeph. 3:17. Ps. 27:14. Rev. 21:3,4.

Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.

Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the Lord do that which is good in his sight. We made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.
Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not.

Prayer: I acknowledge today that I have and hold the intents of Your heart. You created me in Your image, and Your very essence dwells in me. Thank You for showing me my distraction. I refuse to relinquish anything to the enemy of my soul. I embrace You and the lessons I have learned. You are faithful and good to me each and every day. I lift up my head and focus on You. Let the Wind of Your Spirit blow through my life this very moment. The rattling of the enemy grows fainter and fainter as I speak the precious name, “Jesus.” Your Spirit, Your Word, and Your Truth surge through me, bringing the necessary nutrients for this season of my life. I am a tree planted deep in You. Help me to appropriate the grace available to walk out the thoughts and intents of Your heart. Open the eyes of my heart to Your perspective. As I love You with a passionate heart, my fruit grows in abundance. You are the love of my life and the delight of my soul. Keep me ever in Your presence.
I slip into the mighty protection of Your hand. Lord, forgive me for not trusting You with the disappointments in my life. Sometimes, I let all the little things add up and rob the precious joy I find in You. Help me to see when I put unreal expectations on others, especially my friends and family. It is harmful to us, affecting our relationships in a negative way. Your Word teaches and gives me wisdom for each and every day
My heart melts at Your sweet love. My innermost self reaches out to meet You, to respond to You. Your gracious forgiveness flows through me as I give myself to Your precious administrations of ravishing delight. I lay down the busyness of my life to be with You.

O, how I have missed You. Pour into the pool of my life, into the deep places of my longing, that I may hear the whispers of Your heart. Show me unsearchable things I know not. I love You because of who You are, not because of what You have done for me. Let tenderness cultivate me. Form me as Your kindness leads me. As I lay my head upon the pillow at night, make me aware of Your hovering presence that I may arise at dawn with the dew of Your name upon my lips. As I sit here, ravished by Your presence, speak, for I am listening.

Time with You makes it possible to walk in the Spirit. Show me all the little foxes running through my thoughts. I confess You as my high tower and ever-present help in time of trouble. I open my heart up for support, refreshment, and strength. Lord, I love You as my dearest friend and accept these words of instruction and encouragement today. I submit to You in humility of sacrificial praise and obedience. Come, Holy Spirit, and fill me to running over with goodness, mercy, and power to overcome. I receive all things, with a heart of rejoicing, that my joy might be full.

Lord, I agree with You and stretch my wings. The very essence of who You made me to be is awakening like the rising of the dawn. This is a new day, and I embrace it. I give You all my excuses. I lay aside every hindrance. I receive restoration of all things stolen from me. Keep my heart ever close to You. Let me feel the movement of Your wind beneath my wings as I fly into my purpose and destiny. The reproach of men has fallen away, and Your favor is upon me this day -- each and every day of my life. I will take the sweetness deposited in me, sharing it with those who are still sleeping. Fill me, enable me, comfort me, and I will do likewise ( 2 Cor.1:4)I am Your beautiful butterfly.

My heart sings at Your words. I thank You for working in this circumstance and for the valuable lessons I have learned. As I look up at the heavens, I can sense Your smile over my life. All that the enemy meant for discouragement, You have turned into encouragement. Where I have thought evil in this circumstance, I ask for forgiveness, and I choose to speak blessing. Thank you for drawing me closer to Your heart of love. I receive mercy and grace in my time of need. You are faithful, loving, and true. I anticipate the abundant harvest arising out of my obedience to Your instructions. I rest under Your covering of intimate affection, receiving, and giving love. I love you. Amen.
Lord, I receive Your great mercies as I trust in Your faithfulness, Your goodness. You are the delight of my soul in the land of the living. I surrender all my circumstances this day into Your capable hands. I confess my tendency to let my circumstances prevail, therefore, robbing my joy and hope. Jesus, You are my Hope, my Strong Tower, my Deliverer in whom I trust. Thank You for giving Your life that I might live and have abundant life, not a hopeless one. I give myself to Your encouragement.

I am Yours, and You are mine, and my heart is filled with love for You today. Help me to be ever mindful of Your declarations over me. Forgive me for not resting in this place of security. Help me to remember that everything I do is done under the auspice of Your unchanging, never failing love. I give my heart to the tender songs of love You create in me. I raise the banner of our relationship, anchored in Jesus for all to see. I will proclaim Your love to others as it has been proclaimed to me. My whole desire is for you. My deepest longing is to love the way You love. Transform me in this safe place. I love You, Father, and I rest in Your love today. Amen. catcmo2006

Servant of God

The Gospel : 1PAUL, A bond servant of God and an apostle (a special messenger) of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) to stimulate and promote the faith of God's chosen ones and to lead them on to accurate discernment and recognition of and acquaintance with the Truth which belongs to and harmonizes with and tends to godliness,

2[Resting] in the hope of eternal life, [life] which the ever truthful God Who cannot deceive promised before the world or the ages of time began.

3And [now] in His own appointed time He has made manifest (made known) His Word and revealed it as His message through the preaching entrusted to me by command of God our Savior;

4To Titus, my true child according to a common (general) faith: Grace (favor and spiritual blessing) and [heart] peace from God the Father and the Lord Christ Jesus our Savior.

5For this reason I left you [behind] in Crete, that you might set right what was defective and finish what was left undone, and that you might appoint elders and set them over the churches (assemblies) in every city as I directed you.

6[These elders should be] men who are of unquestionable integrity and are irreproachable, the husband of [but] one wife, whose children are [well trained and are] believers, not open to the accusation of being loose in morals and conduct or unruly and disorderly.

7For the bishop (an overseer) as God's steward must be blameless, not self-willed or arrogant or presumptuous; he must not be quick-tempered or given to drink or pugnacious (brawling, violent); he must not be grasping and greedy for filthy lucre (financial gain);

8But he must be hospitable (loving and a friend to believers, especially to strangers and foreigners); [he must be] a lover of goodness [of good people and good things], sober-minded (sensible, discreet), upright and fair-minded, a devout man and religiously correct, temperate and keeping himself in hand.

9He must hold fast to the sure and trustworthy Word of God as he was taught it, so that he may be able both to give stimulating instruction and encouragement in sound (wholesome) doctrine and to refute and convict those who contradict and oppose it [showing the wayward their error].

10For there are many disorderly and unruly men who are idle (vain, empty) and misleading talkers and self-deceivers and deceivers of others. [This is true] especially of those of the circumcision party [who have come over from Judaism].

11Their mouths must be stopped, for they are mentally distressing and subverting whole families by teaching what they ought not to teach, for the purpose of getting base advantage and disreputable gain.

12One of their [very] number, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, hurtful beasts, idle and lazy gluttons.

13And this account of them is [really] true. Because it is [true], rebuke them sharply [deal sternly, even severely with them], so that they may be sound in the faith and free from error,

14[And may show their soundness by] ceasing to give attention to Jewish myths and fables or to rules [laid down] by [mere] men who reject and turn their backs on the Truth.

15To the pure [in heart and conscience] all things are pure, but to the defiled and corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are defiled and polluted.

16They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable and loathsome, unbelieving and disobedient and disloyal and rebellious, and [they are] unfit and worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind.

The Sword Of The Spirit Which Is The Word Of God

Proverbs 30:10 (KJV): Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.

Proverbs 30:10 (AMP): Do not accuse and hurt a servant before his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty (of adding to the burdens of the lowly).

Thoughts for the Day

This verse from Proverbs tells us not to falsely accuse or scold another man's servant, as the servant's owner will curse you for adding to the burdens of the lowly. A curse in the Bible is referring to speaking negatively or evil about, or against, someone. A good master will protect his servants against those who would try to accuse or abuse them without cause. This would apply to an employer and employee relationship as well. A good boss will always protect his faithful employees.

This verse is not referring to a wicked servant or employee, as one like that should be reprimanded. However, anyone who would reproach another man's employee because of their own faulty character, the employer should stick up for that employee. This happens many times when a customer is impatient with regard to their service or disgruntled about some merchandise. Instead of being respectful about discussing the situation or the faulty product, customers sometimes get angry and yell at and berate the one who is trying to help them. A boss, in this case, many find the customer guilty of an attitude problem, instead of his employee or servant being at fault.

The principles in the Bible teach us that we are to respect all people -- no matter what class they are, what race they are, what position they hold, what age they are, or what sex they are. The Bible teaches we are to esteem all persons, as God is the creator of all mankind, and each life is important to Him, and He is no respecter of men. God looks on the hearts of men and women, not on the outward appearance. When we are "born again" into the family of God, by accepting Christ as our Savior, then, we all become brothers and sisters in the Lord and we are to honor and respect one another.

Romans 12:10: Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.

We are also told to especially honor our elders, widows, our masters (bosses), our parents, and people in authority who rule over us.

1 Timothy 5:17: Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

1 Timothy 5:1-3:
1 Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
3 Honour widows that are widows indeed.

1 Timothy 6:1-2:
1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

Matthew 19:19: Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Romans 13:1-7:
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

And most of all, we should have supreme honor for God! One way we honor Him is by obeying His Word that instructs us to love and honor each other.

1 Timothy 1:17: Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You for all the things You have done for me, but I honor You, for Who You are, my Lord and King. May I always show respect for the whole family of God, as I know that is one way I can honor You. Help me to be sensitive and respectful to all people, no matter what position they hold. Lord, deliver Your people from all prejudice and disrespect for one another. May we obey Your Word that tells us to prefer and honor one another, as brothers and sisters in the Lord. May we also be especially kind toward those who are in occupations in the service sector and may we all serve one another. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen. catcmo2006

In His Hands

No man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom. We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Your life is hid with Christ in God.
Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
Our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

The perfect law of liberty.

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. I will walk at liberty, for I seek thy precepts.
