1Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

6The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

[PSALMS 12:1-8]

The psalmist begs help of God, because there were none among men whom he durst trust.

to This psalm furnishes good thoughts for bad times; a man may comfort himself with such meditations and prayers. Let us see what makes the times bad, and when they may be said to be so. Ask the children of this world, What makes the times bad? they will tell you, Scarcity of money, decay of trade, and the desolations of war, make the times bad: but the Scripture lays the badness of the times on causes of another nature, 2Ti 3:1, &c.:

perilous times shall come, for sin shall abound; and of this David complains. When piety decays times really are bad. He who made man's mouth will call him to an account for his proud, profane, dissembling, or even useless words. When the poor and needy are oppressed, then the times are very bad. God himself takes notice of the oppression of the poor, and the sighing of the needy. When wickedness abounds, and is countenanced by those in authority, then the times are very bad. See with what good

things we are here furnished for such bad times; and we cannot tell what times we may be reserved for. 1. We have a God to go to, from whom we may ask and expect the redress of all our grievances. 2. God will certainly punish and restrain false and proud men. 3. God will work deliverance for his oppressed people. His help is given in the fittest time. Though men are false, God is faithful; though they are not to be trusted, God is. The preciousness of God's word is compared to silver refined to

the highest degree. How many proofs have been given of its power and truth! God will secure his chosen remnant, however bad the times are. As long as the world stands, there will be a generation of proud and wicked men. But all God's people are put into the hands of Christ our Saviour; there they are in safety, for none can pluck them thence; being built on Him, the Rock, they are safe, notwithstanding temptation or persecution come with ever so much force upon them.

The Wisdom Of Solomon

Wisdom's Announcement: Prov. 8:1-36

1Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

2She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

3She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

4Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

5O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. [equivalent to difficult}

6Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

7For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

9They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

10Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

11For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

12I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

13The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

14Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

15By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

16By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

17I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

18Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

19My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

20I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

Wisdom Creator 21That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; [Hebrew Meaning: " Master Crafts Man" Uncertain]

Wisdom as Lifegiver 31Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

32Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

33Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

34Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

36But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

______________________________________________________________ The Bottomline:

Christ, as Wisdom, calls to the sons of men.

The will of God is made known by the works of creation, and by the consciences of men, but more clearly by Moses and the prophets. The chief difficulty is to get men to attend to instruction. Yet attention to the words of Christ, will guide the most ignorant into saving knowledge of the truth. Where there is an understanding heart, and willingness to receive the truth in love, wisdom is valued above silver and gold. (Pr 8:12-21)

The nature and riches of Wisdom.

Wisdom, here is Christ, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; it is Christ in the word, and Christ in the heart; not only Christ revealed to us, but Christ revealed in us. All prudence and skill are from the Lord. Through the redemption of Christ's precious blood, the riches of his grace abound in all wisdom and prudence. Man found out many inventions for ruin; God found one for our recovery. He hates pride and arrogance, evil ways and froward conversation; these

render men unwilling to hear his humbling, awakening, holy instructions. True religion gives men the best counsel in all difficult cases, and helps to make their way plain. His wisdom makes all truly happy who receive it in the love of Christ Jesus. Seek him early, seek him earnestly, seek him before any thing else. Christ never said, Seek in vain. Those who love Christ, are such as have seen his loveliness, and have had his love shed abroad in their hearts; therefore they are happy. They shall

be happy in this world, or in that which is beyond compare better. Wealth gotten by vanity will soon be diminished, but that which is well got, will wear well; and that which is well spent upon works of piety and charity, will be lasting. If they have not riches and honour in this world, they shall have that which is infinitely better. They shall be happy in the grace of God. Christ, by his Spirit, guides believers into all truth, and so leads them in the way of righteousness; and they walk

after the Spirit. Also, they shall be happy in the glory of God hereafter. In Wisdom's promises, believers have goods laid up, not for days and years, but for eternity; her fruit therefore is better than gold. (Pr 8:22-31)

Precious Jesus We praise and "Thank You" for this Word that's been laid upon our hearts today and being in worship unto You with a new song in the midst of us as You've laid it before us as we go abiding in You as we servants of the Most High God and His name is Jehovah whom watches over us and keeps us from all danger as He does before us with His mighty, mighty angles. Glory, glory, glory unto the Lamb Of God. May our obedience rest in You today as You have shown us the way that only leads to our victory. catcmo2006

Morning & Evening Devotionals

Morning Verse

"My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels." Psalm 22:14

Our blessed Lord experienced a terrible sinking and melting of soul. "The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity, but a wounded spirit who can bear?" Deep depression of spirit is the most grievous of all trials; all besides is as nothing. Well might the suffering Saviour cry to His God, "Be not far from me," for above all other seasons a man needs his God when his heart is melted within him because of heaviness. Believer, come near the cross this morning, and humbly adore the King of glory as having once been brought far lower, in mental distress and inward anguish, than any one among us; and mark His fitness to become a faithful High Priest, who can be touched with a feeling of our infirmities. Especially let those of us whose sadness springs directly from the withdrawal of a present sense of our Father's love, enter into near and intimate communion with Jesus. Let us not give way to despair, since through this dark room the Master has passed before us. Our souls may sometimes long and faint, and thirst even to anguish, to behold the light of the Lord's countenance: at such times let us stay ourselves with the sweet fact of the sympathy of our great High Priest. Our drops of sorrow may well be forgotten in the ocean of His griefs; but how high ought our love to rise! Come in, O strong and deep love of Jesus, like the sea at the flood in spring tides, cover all my powers, drown all my sins, wash out all my cares, lift up my earth-bound soul, and float it right up to my Lord's feet, and there let me lie, a poor broken shell, washed up by His love, having no virtue or value; and only venturing to whisper to Him that if He will put His ear to me, He will hear within my heart faint echoes of the vast waves of His own love which have brought me where it is my delight to lie, even at His feet for ever.

Evening Verse

Mention of the king's garden by Nehemiah brings to mind the paradise which the King of kings prepared for Adam. Sin has utterly ruined that fair abode of all delights, and driven forth the children of men to till the ground, which yields thorns and briers unto them. My soul, remember the fall, for it was thy fall. Weep much because the Lord of love was so shamefully ill-treated by the head of the human race, of which thou art a member, as undeserving as any. Behold how dragons and demons dwell on this fair earth, which once was a garden of delights.

See yonder another King's garden, which the King waters with His bloody sweat--Gethsemane, whose bitter herbs are sweeter far to renewed souls than even Eden's luscious fruits. There the mischief of the serpent in the first garden was undone: there the curse was lifted from earth, and borne by the woman's promised seed. My soul, bethink thee much of the agony and the passion; resort to the garden of the olive-press, and view thy great Redeemer rescuing thee from thy lost estate. This is the garden of gardens indeed, wherein the soul may see the guilt of sin and the power of love, two sights which surpass all others.

Is there no other King's garden? Yes, my heart, thou art, or shouldst be such. How do the flowers flourish? Do any choice fruits appear? Does the King walk within, and rest in the bowers of my spirit? Let me see that the plants are trimmed and watered, and the mischievous foxes hunted out. Come, Lord, and let the heavenly wind blow at Thy coming, that the spices of Thy garden may flow abroad. Nor must I forget the King's garden of the church. O Lord, send prosperity unto it. Rebuild her walls, nourish her plants, ripen her fruits, and from the huge wilderness, reclaim the barren waste, and make thereof "a King's garden. "I show people how to make small changes in their homes to improve their health and create a safer home for their family."
Well, you know how it seems everybody is suffering from allergies and asthma these days? A lot of that is due to toxins in our environment. What I do is teach people how to get Toxins out of their homes.

Well, you know how nowadays most women have to work outside the home just to supplement their family’s income? Well, I teach women how to work from home on their computer so they can be there for their children.

Busy, Compassion Which Way Do we Turn Daily

The Big Picture: Are We To Busy In Our Life or Are We Having Time In The Lord? Where's The Compassion Unto All Others That We face Daily Do we Great Them In Compassion Or Walk on By!
________________________________ Scripture Reading : 25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

38Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

_____________________________________________________________________ The Bottomline:

The good Samaritan.

If we speak of eternal life, and the way to it, in a careless manner, we take the name of God in vain. No one will ever love God and his neighbour with any measure of pure, spiritual love, who is not made a partaker of converting grace. But the proud heart of man strives hard against these convictions. Christ gave an instance of a poor Jew in distress, relieved by a good Samaritan. This poor man fell among thieves, who left him about to die of his wounds. He was slighted by those who

should have been his friends, and was cared for by a stranger, a Samaritan, of the nation which the Jews most despised and detested, and would have no dealings with. It is lamentable to observe how selfishness governs all ranks; how many excuses men will make to avoid trouble or expense in relieving others. But the true Christian has the law of love written in his heart. The Spirit of Christ dwells in him; Christ's image is renewed in his soul. The parable is a beautiful explanation of the law

of loving our neighbour as ourselves, without regard to nation, party, or any other distinction. It also sets forth the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward sinful, miserable men. We were like this poor, distressed traveller. Satan, our enemy, has robbed us, and wounded us: such is the mischief sin has done us. The blessed Jesus had compassion on us. The believer considers that Jesus loved him, and gave his life for him, when an enemy and a rebel; and having shown him mercy, he bids him

go and do likewise. It is the duty of us all , in our places, and according to our ability, to succour, help, and relieve all that are in distress and necessity. (Lu 10:38-42)

Jesus at the house of Martha and Mary.

A good sermon is not the worse for being preached in a house; and the visits of our friends should be so managed, as to make them turn to the good of their souls. Sitting at Christ's feet, signifies readiness to receive his word, and submission to the guidance of it. Martha was providing for the entertainment of Christ, and those that came with him. Here were respect to our Lord Jesus and right care of her household affairs. But there was something to be blamed. She was for much

serving; plenty, variety, and exactness. Worldly business is a snare to us, when it hinders us from serving God, and getting good to our souls. What needless time is wasted, and expense often laid out, even in entertaining professors of the gospel! Though Martha was on this occasion faulty, yet she was a true believer, and in her general conduct did not neglect the one thing needful. The favour of God is needful to our happiness; the salvation of Christ is needful to our safety. Where this is

attended to, all other things will be rightly pursued. Christ declared, Mary hath chosen the good part. For one thing is needful, this one thing that she has done, to give up herself to the guidance of Christ. The things of this life will be taken away from us, at the furthest, when we shall be taken away from them; but nothing shall separate from the love of Christ, and a part in that love. Men and devils cannot take it away from us, and God and Christ will not. Let us mind the one thing

needful more diligently.

Prayer

Dear Precious Jesus Christ whom is the Son of God Whom is listening unto Us this beauitful Day.Father We come unto You by laying down in our lives today. Just as we had celebrated You being risen out of the grave for all mankind, as we have examined our life with all of old things have passed away unto it which we have brought them unto death by the way of the cross of calvery. We hand over every moment of disgrace, every tears that we've have cried, every word that we have wished we could take back, all of those very broken promises, all the loneliness we've felt, all of our shame, all the dreams that have died, dashes of our hopes, all of those broken relationships, all of our success, all of our failures which have all of our yesterdays, all of those battle scars, all of our thorns that has been with us in our lives and have carried them with those deep penetrating burdens of all of those whom have hurt us,all of those whom are sick, all of those are without jobs, all of those whom are without homes, all of those whom are hungry, surgery and needs healings to come unto You this day and lay it at the foot of the cross as YOU open those shut doors that have been closed and move that mountain of all resistance for Your fruitfulness is in the kingdom work is and will ever be by You father God.Father we ask for Thy will to be done over this requests For it's by Your power and authority to be released and as we not doubt what You can do before us each and every day.For Your kingdom is always full of recovery as You guide us in every thought, every work that we do before you as Your children of the Most High God.We believe it, stand on it, for Nothing is impossible for You to do before us as You heal us each and every day for we are helpless in our life and without You we just can't do it at all. Precious Father our life is always in You as those loving hands are wrapped all around us in those very strong arms as You love us, care for us as You daily show us Your ways for mankind to go as we take our steps along with You.
Today Father God open our eyes as You deal with us very strictly as we spend our life in being in service before You for it's true life for everyone whom is Your child in always keeping Your word daily within our lives as we lay ahold all of Your wonderous things of those laws, as You give us more and more understanding of that Preious Words of Life within us for it's that light of Your Holy Spirit as every sanctifiedperson, as our souls hungers and thirsts for more of You and very Less of self today and forever more as that precious Word as our food as we sit at Your tble daily guiding us in all of the path to go before you as we bear one another heavy burdens and lay it at Your cross. For their are those in this world Father, that thrive upon the innocent people as betrayers and hunt them down as savages to harm, kill unto Your people, as some are so pleasent unto others, but yet there are those whom are very bitter unto people that need salvation within all of those souls and to have the hope of eternity. Send Your mighty warring angles to make sure that this happens before them and help them to recover inside of those hearts and guide them as You have guided your people in every way. As whom ever they are surely they will be convinced and convicted with Your comfort that only Your holy spirit will do before them, as they seen all of those sins as they lay at Your fet Father God. as they lay down all faults, folly of those sins, and the fifthy sins that had caused to be very hateful not only upon others but unto You Father God in all of those very corrupt natures that heavily burried deep within them that all is brought before them is death for unto the world You are known as we had been guilty as charged as those whom don't know to understand it will be as each one is finally convinced within them . For it's by Your righteousness that is shown unto those at such a moment in time for those like us to grab a hold of and run the race with You as their guide in leading the way for others. Just as Your Holy Spirit always does good things within us in our hearts as those will begin to see it too. Though we may not fully understand that value of the cross just as they we do fully understand salvation as our eyes have been richer and fuller views of our Redeemer with our affections are only unto You as we pray for all of those lives before You as a certainity of that very dependence for You snatched us all out of the nasty burning pits and handed over Your Divine Mercy which does not give unto those whom have not have literally put - off repentence to be going to the death bed that's eternal or all hope that they will have mercy. No one is sure that those people will have repentance of the time of death only You know that answer Father God, But for those whom have has repentanced does know the truth which we are upon the Lord of our lives daily and forever until You come for us precious Jesus, the Lamb of God, in whom by Your purchased Blood that has been paid in to the Fullest amount that's at times was overchared by those people, but You did it for all mankind and we thank You Father as we bless Your Name and Highly exalt You, and give our prsises before Your Throne as You smell this prayer going up unto You today. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.

Mexico To Get "Sovereign Territory" In Kansas City

Mexico To Get "Sovereign Territory" In Kansas City; America's
Heartland
Added: Apr 8th, 2007 1:55 PM

by Phyllis Schlafly,

Grassroots Americans of all parties and economic classes rose up out
of their political apathy a few months ago and forced President Bush
to reverse his administration' s decision to allow a Middle East
government to own America's major ports. But the push for foreign
ownership continues: the next port scheduled to be taken over is
Kansas City, Missouri.

Even though public schools stopped teaching geography a couple of
decades ago, most Americans (especially residents of the Show Me
state) are surprised to learn that Kansas City (where the only waves
are "amber waves of grain") is a port. We are also surprised, and
shocked, to discover that Mexico will be running its own inspection
facility.

The plan, shrouded in secrecy, has been in the works for at least
three years, but it is now coming to light because of the diligent
use of Missouri's Sunshine law by concerned citizens. Joyce Mucci and
Francis Semler forced the release of the emails from Kansas City to
Mexico, including one admitting that "The space [in Kansas City]
would need to be designated as Mexican sovereign territory."

SmartPort spokesmen are now running away from this written admission,
blaming "the problems and pressure the media attention has created."
However, the stubborn sovereignty issue won't go away; the plan does
involve setting up Mexican customs officials in downtown Kansas City.

The mechanism for this deal is a "nonprofit" business economic
development corporation called Kansas City SmartPort Inc., whose
president is Chris J.F. Gutierrez. The deal calls for Kansas City to
lease the valuable property at 1447 Liberty Street.

As laid out on SmartPort's website, the plan is to enable cheap-labor
products made in Communist China to travel in sealed "containers
nonstop from the Far East by way of Mexico," through "a ships-to-rail
terminal at the port of Lazaro Cardenas in Mexico," then up "the
evolving trade corridor" to Kansas City, Missouri, where they would
have their first inspection.

A Kansas City SmartPort brochure explains further: "Kansas City
offers the opportunity for sealed cargo containers to travel to
Mexican port cities with virtually no border delays."

A key purpose of the project is to take jobs away from U.S.
longshoremen in Los Angeles and Long Beach who earn $140,000 a year
and replace them with Mexican laborers at $10,000 a year. U.S. truck
drivers and railroad workers will likewise be replaced by Mexicans.

The port of Lazaro Cardenas on the west coast of southern Mexico is
controlled by Hutchison Whampoa, the same giant Hong Kong shipping
firm that owns the ports at both ends of the Panama Canal. The
Chinese-made goods will be carried by Kansas City Southern Railway de
Mexico directly to Kansas City, where freight will be distributed
east and west and on to Canada.

Kansas City Southern was originally just a belt rail around Kansas
City but, after buying various Mexican rail companies and tracks, KCS
now controls a 2,600-mile artery from Lazaro Cardenas to Kansas City.
KCS's president, Michael Haverty, was one of only five U.S.
businessmen who met with Presidents Bush and Vicente Fox, along with
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, at their Cancun Summit in
March.

Mexico was at first expected to pay for the big, expensive machines
to conduct high-tech gamma-ray screening for drive-through
inspections of containers, but Mexico declined the honor. SmartPort
has applied for a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Economic
Development Administration (i.e., to get the U.S. taxpayers to pay
for the machines).

The Kansas City city council has already earmarked $2.5 million in
loans and $600,000 in direct aid (of taxpayers' money) to SmartPort,
which would build and own the facility and then sublet it to the
Mexican government. The cost could go as high as $6 million because
Kansas City has an existing lease that runs through 2045 on the same
property with the 107-year-old American Royal, which uses that land
for its annual livestock/rodeo/ barbecue event.

The last piece in finalizing this project is getting the U.S. State
Department to approve the Mexican operation on U.S. soil by signing
off on what is called the C-175 document. It has already been
approved by U.S. Customs.

Meanwhile, NASCO (North America's SuperCorridor Coalition), another
non-profit business organization, has taken on the mission of
building an "international, integrated and secure, multi-modal
transportation system" from Lazaro Cardenas through Kansas City and
up to Winnipeg, Canada. This will allow Mexican trucks to haul goods
along a 12-lane superhighway through the heartland of the United
States.

Easter HE IS Risen

What Can Jesus Set Me Free From?

And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.John 8:32.So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free. John 8:36.

This comes from the "Pains" of Those Yesterday's in our in our lives and "Regrets"" Resentments" but Our Jesus Christ : SETS US FREE! Christ's discourse with the Pharisees.

Such power attended our Lord's words, that many were convinced, and professed to believe in him. He encouraged them to attend his teaching, rely on his promises, and obey his commands, notwithstanding all temptations to evil. Thus doing, they would be his disciples truly; and by the teaching of his word and Spirit, they would learn where their hope and strength lay. Christ spoke of spiritual liberty; but carnal hearts feel no other grievances than those that molest the body, and

distress their worldly affairs. Talk to them of their liberty and property, tell them of waste committed upon their lands, or damage done to their houses, and they understand you very well; but speak of the bondage of sin, captivity to Satan, and liberty by Christ; tell of wrong done to their precious souls, and the hazard of their eternal welfare, then you bring strange things to their ears. Jesus plainly reminded them, that the man who practised any sin, was, in fact, a slave to that sin,

which was the case with most of them. Christ in the gospel offers us freedom, he has power to do this, and those whom Christ makes free are really so. But often we see persons disputing about liberty of every kind, while they are slaves to some sinful lust. (Jn 8:37-40)

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old Isa.43:18.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert Isa. 43:19.

For putting those old things away in our life of bondages, then asking the Lord Jesus Christ in one's forgivness then we can start having such a relationship in Him for HE'S delievered us from them as then we sek and devour in having more blessings, restoration, as we are in HIS presence as we lift one's own heart in Worship and Praises unto our God .

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding Isa.40:28.He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength Isa.40:29.
Our God Attributes is "Omnipresent: For He is everywhere at the same time in this world that we in still today. No mater where we are..He's right there with us. He knows everthing about us actions, thoughts he knows when we are very uncertain about things, possible, all things are certain all things are contingent, the future is for us, failures as all things have been forordained, as some have been predistined as we as human beings as we live our life as we ourselves has made choices in our life...He there with us... No matter how it looks to us ...HE'S THERE! Our God is free to make His own decisions and has His own privilages in what our future holds in either what we've done or didn't do in all of those choices it's All according to His Will in what becomes of it. It's His infinite wisdom that leads us to being FREE! He's unlimited, incaluable, unbound, boundless, unconfined, countless, interminable, measureable, inexhaustible, bottomless, without end, limitless, tremendous, immense, never - ending in our life. There are so many variations in His characteristics of our one true God which bear very simliar to human beings and thier qualities; however, His attributes All exists to a degree incomparably greater than we do living here in this world today. It must be stressed that our ability to be excercising these characteristics is closely related to our own being which is created in our God's Image. In other words, we are very much like Him, not He is like us. His love is "Selfless" which embraces the entire world of All sinful mankind. He sent His only begotton Son to die for All mankind from the beginning unto today's time for All sinner's of this world and He Rose Up out of that cold very dark grave and came out of that tomb. So All mankind can be reconciled unto Him in Jesus Christ that had bore All of our sins. He has so much compassion, merciful, through His mercy as He bestowed His FREE gift for everyone to recieve Him just as we are at those moments in times for He is sorrowful for someone's whom suffers whom desires His help if they choose it for one self, while His door is opened for that single person and not let it go right by them at that moment of time. It's a matter of one's own FREE choice to make at an instant. God has provided unto All human race such a freedom to come unto Him as a prisioner to be set free from All bondages No matter what it is in a human's own life, and have a strong oppressions that has it heavy blows upon them as well. As our God waits patiently for this whole world in it's sinful natures in the human race; he does not presently judge them so as to destroy the world, because He's giving them ALL everyone the opportunity to repent and be saved. God is truth, faitful as He carries out All of His promises unto us but one thing is for sure He does Not tolerate lies, or any kind of falsehood of any kind whatsoever at All. He carries out All of His warnings unto the world not only back then but unto today's times. God's faithfulness, as He is our Rock, as He keeps right on comforts us to His believers and those whom fear of His judgments to all whom do Not repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency] Phil.4:13 Amp.

Expresses contentment in every condition of life.

It is a good work to succour and help a good minister in trouble. The nature of true Christian sympathy, is not only to feel concern for our friends in their troubles, but to do what we can to help them. The apostle was often in bonds, imprisonments, and necessities; but in all, he learned to be content, to bring his mind to his condition, and make the best of it. Pride, unbelief, vain hankering after something we have not got, and fickle disrelish of present things, make men

discontented even under favourable circumstances. Let us pray for patient submission and hope when we are abased; for humility and a heavenly mind when exalted. It is a special grace to have an equal temper of mind always. And in a low state not to lose our comfort in God, nor distrust his providence, nor take any wrong course for our own supply. In a prosperous condition not to be proud, or secure, or worldly. This is a harder lesson than the other; for the temptations of fulness and

prosperity are more than those of affliction and want. The apostle had no design to urge them to give more, but to encourage such kindness as will meet a glorious reward hereafter. Through Christ we have grace to do what is good, and through him we must expect the reward; and as we have all things by him, let us do all things for him, and to his glory. (Php 4:20-23)

The Wisdom Of Solomon

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Proverbs 13:24(AMP): "He who spares his rod (of discipline) hates his son, but he who loves him diligently disciplines and punishes him early."

Thoughts for the Day

The practical wisdom found in these verses in the book of Proverbs covers the subject of child rearing and corporal punishment. Children who are not properly disciplined, are among the most miserable of children. Unruly and spoiled children are not the blessings that the Bible says they should be to parents. When a child is given no boundaries, he or she feels lost. Children must have boundaries that are consistently maintained. If they are not maintained it causes great harm to a child, as they will not only be in dangerous territory, but they will also lose respect for authority. This is where we find so many of the children and youth of today. They are rebels, who not only disrespect authority, but openly defy all authority figures such as teachers, policemen, clergy, and their own parents. The blame rests upon the parents of these children for not consistently disciplining them, as Proverbs teaches.

This brings us to the subject of how we should discipline a child who disobeys the rules. There has been much debate on the subject of corporal punishment (the spanking of a child). Corporal punishment simply means bodily punishment while the definition of spank in Webster's Dictionary is: 1.) to strike with something flat, as the open hand, especially on the buttocks, as in punishment. 2.) to move along swiftly or smartly, a smack given in spanking. This is what the Bible says about spanking:

Proverbs 22:15: "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him."

Proverbs 23:13-14: "Withold not discipline from the child, for if you strike and punish him with the (reed-like) rod, he will not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."

First of all, discipline of children should begin at an early age, whenever a child begins to defy the parent. Remember the old saying, "He who spares the rod, spoils the child." Notice that the Bible says that all children have foolishness in their hearts. The Bible definition of a fool means one who is a rebel. This verse is saying that all children have rebellion in them and when it surfaces, it is our duty as parents to drive it out of them. We are to do this by punishing them with a whack on the buttocks with a small reed-like rod. This rod could be a switch from a fruit tree branch or a willow tree branch or a small wooden spoon. It is not to be a large heavy rod or anything that would cause permanent physical damage. The purpose of a spanking is not to cause any lasting bodily harm, but to cause spiritual correction. A spanking should be swift and cause short lived pain that makes a point. That point is that the small pain they feel now will prevent them from feeling great pain by the act they are committing, which could cause them the loss of their lives in some cases. (For instance, if a child tries to run across the street, he or she could be run over and killed.)

Some people say that all spanking is child abuse, but this is not true according to the Bible. The real abuse to the child is not to spank them when they need correction. Of course, some parents who themselves are out of control, can abuse their children by beating them in angry rages. This is child abuse. However, abuse does not justify doing away with spanking children if it is done properly, and for the right reasons. Parents who beat their children need help themselves. They are sinful people who will not only abuse their children by beating them, but may hurt them in other ways as well. Many times, these same children are left to go hungry and uncared for. They have no love. These kind of homes need the love of Christ so that the whole family can be healed. We are not to spank our children with uncontrolled anger, and thus hand out unjust punishment.

Proverbs 19:18(AMP): "Discipline your son while there is hope, but do not (indulge your angry resentments by undue chastisements and) set yourself to his ruin."

Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Godly discipline will keep children from being dysfunctional later in life. We are told as Christian parents to train our children in the ways of the Lord and when they grow up, they will not depart from that training. Notice it says "train" not "teach." Many parents teach their children right from wrong, but have failed to "train" them to obey. Spanking is part of the training. Many parents yell and threaten their children, but never follow through with the proper punishment and therefore their children get their own way. A disciplined child will bring great delight to parents, while the child left alone will bring shame to the home.

Proverbs 29:15 &17(AMP):

15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left undisciplined brings his mother to shame.
17 Correct your son, and he will give you rest; yes, he will give delight to your heart.

Ephesians 6:1-4:

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Prayer for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for my children and grandchildren. I have learned so much over the years through the parenting process. I have failed so many times, but You have been there to pick me up and help me overcome the things that came against me and my children. Lord, being a parent is a challenge. Only with Your help and love can we be the kind of parents that You call us to be. Lord, I pray for all mothers and fathers who are seeking You for help with their families. Grant Your help and favor to them. Give them your love, wisdom and patience in dealing with their children. May all Christians be the godly parents You call them to be, and may their children be loving and obedient so that we all have happy and blessed homes. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

1
A psalm by David.

O Lord, I cry out to you, “Come quickly.” Open your ears to me when I cry out to you.
2 Let my prayer be accepted as sweet-smelling incense in your presence. Let the lifting up of my hands in prayer be accepted as an evening sacrifice.

3 O Lord, set a guard at my mouth. Keep watch over the door of my lips.
4 Do not let me be persuaded to do anything evil or to become involved with wickedness, with people who are troublemakers. Do not let me taste their delicacies.

5 A righteous person may strike me or correct me out of kindness. It is like lotion for my head. My head will not refuse it, because my prayer is directed against evil deeds.
6 When their judges are thrown off a cliff, they will listen to what I have to say. It will sound pleasant {to them}.
7 As someone plows and breaks up the ground, so our bones will be planted at the mouth of the grave.[1]Hebrew meaning of Psalm 141:5-7 uncertain.

8 My eyes look to you, Lord Almighty. I have taken refuge in you. Do not leave me defenseless.
9 Keep me away from the trap they set for me and from the traps set by troublemakers.
10 Let wicked people fall into their own nets, while I escape unharmed.

Morning & Evening Devotionals

Morning Verse

"O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame?" Psalm 4:2

An instructive writer has made a mournful list of the honours which the blinded people of Israel awarded to their long-expected King. (1.) They gave Him a procession of honour, in which Roman legionaries, Jewish priests, men and women, took a part, He Himself bearing His cross. This is the triumph which the world awards to Him who comes to overthrow man's direst foes. Derisive shouts are His only acclamations, and cruel taunts His only paeans of praise. (2.) They presented Him with the wine of honour. Instead of a golden cup of generous wine they offered Him the criminal's stupefying death-draught, which He refused because He would preserve an uninjured taste wherewith to taste of death; and afterwards when He cried, "I thirst," they gave Him vinegar mixed with gall, thrust to His mouth upon a sponge. Oh! wretched, detestable inhospitality to the King's Son. (3.) He was provided with a guard of honour, who showed their esteem of Him by gambling over His garments, which they had seized as their booty. Such was the body-guard of the adored of heaven; a quaternion of brutal gamblers. (4.) A throne of honour was found for Him upon the bloody tree; no easier place of rest would rebel men yield to their liege Lord. The cross was, in fact, the full expression of the world's feeling towards Him; "There," they seemed to say, "Thou Son of God, this is the manner in which God Himself should be treated, could we reach Him." (5.) The title of honour was nominally "King of the Jews," but that the blinded nation distinctly repudiated, and really called Him "King of thieves," by preferring Barabbas, and by placing Jesus in the place of highest shame between two thieves. His glory was thus in all things turned into shame by the sons of men, but it shall yet gladden the eyes of saints and angels, world without end.

Evening Verse

"Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation; and my tongue shall sing aloud of Thy righteousness." Psalm 51:14

In this SOLEMN CONFESSION, it is pleasing to observe that David plainly names his sin. He does not call it manslaughter, nor speak of it as an imprudence by which an unfortunate accident occurred to a worthy man, but he calls it by its true name, bloodguiltiness. He did not actually kill the husband of Bathsheba; but still it was planned in David's heart that Uriah should be slain, and he was before the Lord his murderer. Learn in confession to be honest with God. Do not give fair names to foul sins; call them what you will, they will smell no sweeter. What God sees them to be, that do you labour to feel them to be; and with all openness of heart acknowledge their real character. Observe, that David was evidently oppressed with the heinousness of his sin. It is easy to use words, but it is difficult to feel their meaning. The fifty-first Psalm is the photograph of a contrite spirit. Let us seek after the like brokenness of heart; for however excellent our words may be, if our heart is not conscious of the hell-deservingness of sin, we cannot expect to find forgiveness.

Our text has in it AN EARNEST PRAYER--it is addressed to the God of salvation. It is His prerogative to forgive; it is His very name and office to save those who seek His face. Better still, the text calls Him the God of my salvation. Yes, blessed be His name, while I am yet going to Him through Jesus' blood, I can rejoice in the God of my salvation.

The psalmist ends with A COMMENDABLE VOW: if God will deliver him he will sing--nay, more, he will "sing aloud." Who can sing in any other style of such a mercy as this! But note the subject of the song--"THY RIGHTEOUSNESS." We must sing of the finished work of a precious Saviour; and he who knows most of forgiving love will sing the loudest.

Have A Great Day

Thank You for allow in this site, group sites, web sites and other prayer sites as well in holding one another up for prayer's being totally united in everyone around this world, it's about Jesus Christ first and prayers, intecessory prayer's and at other times about this vast world we live in today which this old world as we all know it is slowly departing to be reaching our home in glory.

The Wisdom Of Solomon

Proverbs 13:10-12(KJV):

10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.
12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Thoughts for the Day

In these three verses of Proverbs 13, we find three precious gems of wisdom -- how to avoid contention, the way to attain wealth, and how the results of answered prayer will produce growth and life. Verse 10 tells us that pride is behind every dispute that results in strife. The pride spoken of in this verse is referring to one being arrogant and haughty. If two people are unyielding and arrogant when they disagree about something, it will always produce contention and strife. If we desire to get along with others, we must humble ourselves, and not take the opinion that we are better or smarter than others. This verse says that if we are well advised, we will act in wisdom toward others. We will not act defiantly or condescending to others. We may be right in a situation and yet act in a wrong manner, thus defeating our position.

As God's children, we must always act the way He would want us to act. This is not saying that we are to always take the position of being a "door mat." Sometime the harder thing to do in a situation, is to speak the truth in love, instead of trying to avoid a situation because we dread conflict. When we find ourselves in a situation of disagreement with others, we should seek God as to how He would have us to respond, in spite of how we might feel about the situation. If we feel we are being treated unfairly, the best way to see justice in our behalf is to love, forgive and do unto others as we would have them do unto us. When we take this position and pray good prayers toward others, then God will defend us. We should never pray evil prayers toward those who oppose us. These kind of prayers are not coming from the heart of God, but from our own flesh. When we are blessing others with our prayers and our thoughts, we are overcoming evil with good.

Romans 12:19-20:

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 Peter 5:5-7:

5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Our next gem of wisdom in our study verses is a bit of financial advice. This verse is better defined in the Amplified version of the Bible and reads as follows:

Proverbs 13:11: "Wealth (not earned) but won in haste, or unjustly, or from the production of things for vain or detrimental use, (such riches) will dwindle away; but he who gathers little by little will increase them."

This verse tells us that when we obtain wealth by devious means, or gain it through gambling, or some "Get Rich Quick" scheme, that it will soon be gone. The reason for this, is that the person who gets money in this fashion did not developthe necessary character in his life that comes with hard work and patience. Therefore, the lack of character will cause him to waste it. Soon he is back in the same situation he was in to begin with. This scripture is also referring to those who produce goods or sell things that are detrimental to mankind (such as illegal drugs, pornography, etc.). Wealth that is obtained at the expense of another's harm will also eventually dwindle away. History has recorded the deeds of some very wealthy men who gained their wealth by exploiting others and at the end of their lives, they were left as paupers. No Christian should be in any business that does not produce something that is beneficial to mankind.

The last gem in our study scriptures tells us that when something that we have set our heart upon does not come to pass, we will become heart sick. If disappointment comes over and over again, soon hope is lost. However, when a person receives the desire of their hearts, it produces great joy. It is like a tree of life. A healthy tree grows bigger and stronger each year. So it is when we receive things that we have prayed for and desired. This of course, is referring to the righteous desires of one's life and not unholy ones. As Christians, we are never to lose hope because we have the one Who is Hope. We should never yield to despair, disappointment nor discouragement. We must take our encouragement from the Lord and not depend on others, nor our circumstances, to bring us encouragement. We must be like David, who sought his encouragement from the Lord when the men around him failed him.

1 Samuel 30:6 "And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God."

Prayer for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I do thank You for the encouragement that You bring, when at times, I am tempted to become discouraged in certain situations. I am greatly encouraged when You do answer my prayers. You truly are a faithful God that hears and answers our prayers. I am amazed at times, when I have totally forgotten a prayer that I prayed years ago and suddenly it comes to pass. Lord, encourage my brothers and sisters in the Lord, and answer their prayers that have been prayed according to Your will. Send hope to those who need it and give them faith to believe You for their answers. Help me to respond to those who disagree with me in the manner that You would have me to respond. Fill me with Your love, and empower me with Your Holy Spirit to do Your will in every situation. I ask this in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

You Are Psalms

Psalms 128-131
1 A song for going up to worship.

Blessed are all who fear the Lord and live his way.

2 You will certainly eat what your own hands have provided. Blessings to you! May things go well for you!
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine inside your home. Your children will be like young olive trees around your table.
4 This is how the Lord will bless the person who fears him.
5 May the Lord bless you from Zion so that you may see Jerusalem prospering all the days of your life.
6 May you live to see your children's children.
Let there be peace in Israel!

1
A song for going up to worship.

“From the time I was young, people have attacked me...” (Israel should repeat this.)
2 “From the time I was young, people have attacked me, but they have never overpowered me.
3 They have plowed my back {like farmers plow fields}. They made long slashes {like furrows}.”
4 The Lord is righteous. He has cut me loose from the ropes that wicked people tied around me.
5 Put to shame all those who hate Zion. Force them to retreat.
6 Make them be like grass on a roof, like grass that dries up before it produces a stalk.
7 It will never fill the barns of those who harvest or the arms of those who gather bundles.
8 Those who pass by will never say {to them}, “May you be blessed by the Lord or “We bless you in the name of the Lord.”

1
A song for going up to worship.

O Lord, out of the depths I call to you.
2 O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be open to my pleas for mercy.
3 O Lord, who would be able to stand if you kept a record of sins?
4 But with you there is forgiveness so that you can be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and with hope I wait for his word.
6 My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning.
7 O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, because with the Lord there is mercy and with him there is unlimited forgiveness. 8 He will rescue Israel from all its sins.

1 A song by David for going up to worship.
O Lord, my heart is not conceited. My eyes do not look down on others. I am not involved in things too big or too difficult for me.
2 Instead, I have kept my soul calm and quiet. My soul is content as a weaned child is content in its mother's arms.
3 Israel, put your hope in the Lord now and forever.

The Big Picture & The Bottomline:

Only those who are truly holy, are truly happy. In vain do we pretend to be of those that fear God, if we do not make conscience of keeping stedfastly to his ways. Blessed is every one that fears the Lord; whether he be high or low, rich or poor in the world. If thou fear him and walk in his ways, all shall be well with thee while thou livest, better when thou diest, best of all in eternity. By the blessing of God, the godly shall get an honest livelihood. Here is a double promise; they shall have something to do, for an idle life is a miserable, uncomfortable life, and shall have health and strength, and power of mind to do it. They shall not be forced to live upon the labours of other people. It is as much a mercy as a duty, with quietness to work and eat our own bread. They and theirs shall enjoy what they get. Such as fear the Lord and walk in his ways, are the only happy persons, whatever their station in life may be. They shall have abundant comfort in their family relations. And they shall have all the good things God has promised, and which they pray for. A good man can have little comfort in seeing his children's children, unless he sees peace upon Israel. Every true believer rejoices in the prosperity of the church. Hereafter we shall see greater things, with the everlasting peace and rest that remain for the Israel of God.

THANKFULNESS FOR FORMER DELIVERANCES. 129:1-4

The enemies of God's people have very barbarously endeavoured to wear out the saints of the Most High. But the church has been always graciously delivered. Christ has built his church upon a rock. And the Lord has many ways of disabling wicked men from doing the mischief they design against his church. The Lord is righteous in not suffering Israel to be ruined; he has promised to preserve a people to himself.

A BELIEVING PROSPECT OF THE DESTRUCTION OF THE ENEMIES OF ZION. 129:5-8

While God's people shall flourish as the loaded palm-tree, or the green and fruitful olive, their enemies shall wither as the grass upon the house-tops, which in eastern countries are flat, and what grows there never ripens; so it is with the designs of God's enemies. No wise man will pray the Lord to bless these mowers or reapers. And when we remember how Jesus arose and reigns; how his people have been supported, like the burning but unconsumed bush, we shall not fear.

THE PSALMIST'S HOPE IN PRAYER. 130:1-4

The only way of relief for a sin-entangled soul, is by applying to God alone. Many things present themselves as diversions, many things offer themselves as remedies, but the soul finds that the Lord alone can heal. And until men are sensible of the guilt of sin, and quit all to come at once to God, it is in vain for them to expect any relief. The Holy Ghost gives to such poor souls a fresh sense of their deep necessity, to stir them up in earnest applications, by the prayer of faith, by crying to God. And as they love their souls, as they are concerned for the glory of the Lord, they are not to be wanting in this duty. Why is it that these matters are so long uncertain with them? Is it not from sloth and despondency that they content themselves with common and customary applications to God? Then let us up and be doing; it must be done, and it is attended with safety. We are to humble ourselves before God, as guilty in his sight. Let us acknowledge our sinfulness; we cannot justify ourselves, or plead not guilty. It is our unspeakable comfort that there is forgiveness with him, for that is what we need. Jesus Christ is the great Ransom; he is ever an Advocate for us, and through him we hope to obtain forgiveness. There is forgiveness with thee, not that thou mayest be presumed upon, but that thou mayest be feared. The fear of God often is put for the whole worship of God. The only motive and encouragement for sinners is this, that there is forgiveness with the Lord.

HIS PATIENCE IN HOPE. 130:5-8

It is for the Lord that my soul waits, for the gifts of his grace, and the working of his power. We must hope for that only which he has promised in his word. Like those who wish to see the dawn, being very desirous that light would come long before day; but still more earnestly does a good man long for the tokens of God's favour, and the visits of his grace. Let all that devote themselves to the Lord, cheerfully stay themselves on him. This redemption is redemption from all sin. Jesus Christ saves his people from their sins, both from the condemning and from the commanding power of sin. It is plenteous redemption; there is an all-sufficient fulness in the Redeemer, enough for all, enough for each; therefore enough for me, says the believer. Redemption from sin includes redemption from all other evils, therefore it is a plenteous redemption, through the atoning blood of Jesus, who shall redeem his people from all their sins. All that wait on God for mercy and grace, are sure to have peace.

Chapter 131

The psalmist aimed at nothing high or great, but to be content in every condition God allotted. Humble saints cannot think so well of themselves as others think of them. The love of God reigning in the heart, will subdue self-love. Where there is a proud heart, there is commonly a proud look. To know God and our duty, is learning sufficiently high for us. It is our wisdom not to meddle with that which does not belong to us. He was well reconciled to every condition the Lord placed him in. He had been as humble as a little child about the age of weaning, and as far from aiming at high things; as entirely at God's disposal, as the child at the disposal of the mother or nurse. We must become as little children, Mat 18:3. Our hearts are desirous of worldly things, cry for them, and are fond of them; but, by the grace of God, a soul that is made holy, is weaned from these things. The child is cross and fretful while in the weaning; but in a day or two it cares no longer for milk, and it can bear stronger food. Thus does a converted soul quiet itself under the loss of what it loved, and disappointments in what it hoped for, and is easy whatever happens. When our condition is not to our mind, we must bring our mind to our condition; then we are easy to ourselves and all about us; then our souls are as a weaned child. And thus the psalmist recommends confidence in God, to all the Israel of God, from his own experience. It is good to hope, and quietly to wait for the salvation of the Lord under every trial.
